My Goals
My goals are quiet simple. I want to get my college degree and find a job in one of the top accounting firms and earning 6 to 70,000 a year. But to me my most important goal is to buy my mom a house with a garden because she love planting. A specific action I would have to do right now is to find a job as an intern. Without experiences it is very hard to find a good job, especially with the market right now, there is plenty of competition. And getting into one of the top accounting firms it is more difficult if I don't get more experience, and education as well. So now I not only have to find a job, I have to do good in school.

Very simple vision. Yea the market is down right now but hopefully it will get better by the time you graduate. So it will be easier for you to get a job at a big accounting firm. Its also good that your going to be making 60 to 70 thousand thats a pretty good starting salary.
I wonder how you got to the goal of earning 60000 to 70000 a year. Is it the average starting salary of accountants or is it a personal goal of ours? I would also like to buy my mom a house or apartment that is better than what we have now. I agree it is hard to get a job and even harder with the poor state of the market. I think there will be even more people with accounting degrees that will be looking for a job. As well as those that were laid off. You have a good action of trying to get more experience to get a better chance of getting a job in your desired field of accounting.
I love your goal to buy your mom a house with a garden because as parents who raised us in America, they have gone through so much hardship and endure so much pain. It is only right as son and daughters of our parents to do the best for them. For your salary, i think you can make more with experience so do not get discourage even if you start lower. Life is all about learning and growing
I like that your vision is very realistic and includes giving back to your mom. That is very kind of you. Continue with your studies and by the time you graduate the mkt will be better and you can make that money!
The first goal that you mentioned, I think we all share, because we are in college to get a degree and an education that will allow us to have good job with a well paying salary. Although I must say that you second goal is very unique from what I've been reading on other blogs here. You want to buy your mom a house so she can have a garden. I mean wow, that is really great because most of us have goals that involve soley ourselves and we always want only wants good for us, while we exclude the closest people in our lives. So i think its great that ur prorites are different from everyone else, whatever works for your own personal satisfaction is what you should go for ;)
I like your simple plan because its very reasonable and realistic. Its something i see u doing in just a few years. im sure ur mom will be proud of u!
